How it works
- Think of any NBA player with a charted season since 1996 — 2,426 careers are in the tree.
- Questions come from real career data: position, era, play style, Skills Lens tags, All-Star / All-NBA honours.
- The tree is built offline for maximum information gain; every career resolves within 20 questions (worst case observed: 18).
- The map plots all 12,966 player-seasons as a 2-D projection of the 14 era-normalized per-100 features — the site’s atlas view, not the 64-d MTNN embedding itself.
- Provenance: tree built 2026-10-20 from the season vectors, archetype assignments and honors data — greedy max-information-gain, worst case 18 questions observed. Map: PCA of the 14 era-normalized per-100 features.
- Keyboard: Y yes, N no, U not sure.
