Two seasons in, one number out: how alike the model reads them. Every feature is a z-score inside its own season, so a 1997 line and a 2025 line are compared on equal terms.

This is not the twin search on /player. That one ranks neighbours by distance on the 3-D projection the maps are drawn from; this computes the cosine in the space a guess is actually scored in — the same fourteen features /play uses, and the same thresholds it calls a lock. The 64-d MTNN embedding is a separate, ungated step and is not what this reads.
A text box and a Find fit → button once stood here with no handler behind them, and were removed rather than left to teach a visitor that a control on this site might do nothing. This is that control, built.
